Summary: Farmheads is seeking a people-focused leader to lead a team responsible for creating memorable experiences for our Northside guests at our two high-volume Ravenswood restaurants, Farm Bar and Arriba. www.farm-bar.com. Farm Bar is a high-volume, scratch-cooking neighborhood restaurant with a lively bar that features approachable, delicious Midwestern fare. We source many of our ingredients from our own Wisconsin farm, Brown Dog Farm. Farm Bar boasts a robust destination bar that offers craft beer, hard cider from our farm, and a top-tier craft cocktail program that is the cornerstone of our bar Arriba is our separate rooftop restaurant, providing our Ravenswood neighbors with casual, house-made Mexican fare and exceptional Margaritas on the finest rooftop venue on the Northside. Our General Manager collaborates with our chef to oversee the complete operation of both restaurants, including culinary operations. The General Manager has complete responsibility for everything within the four walls of our restaurant, including, but not limited to, ensuring exceptional hospitality, maintaining efficient, profitable, and consistent service, leading our entire team, and contributing to the long-term success of Farm Bar and Arriba. Areas of Focus Hospitality and Customer Service: Ensuring each guest has a fantastic experience at Farm Bar and Arriba. Engaging with every guest to foster a sense of community for both restaurants. Implementing and developing our training program to maintain our standards. Building positive relationships with regulars, new guests, neighborhood businesses, event hosts, social media influencers, vendors, investors, and anyone else who engages with the restaurant. Financial Responsibilities: Managing restaurant operations and leading staff, prioritizing financial goals. Reviewing monthly budgets and financial statements with the general partners to achieve goals. Managing food and beverage labor and supply budgets. Managing staff schedules in accordance with set budgets. Maximizing topline sales as much as possible while still maintaining our standards of quality and service Human Resources: Establish and implement standard operating procedures across all areas. Oversee FOH hiring and terminations. Collaborate with the chef to assist in culinary staffing, hiring, and as necessary, terminations. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for Farm Bar and Arriba. Recruit new team members in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain staff files in accordance with relevant regulations. Coordinate training of new employees. Discipline staff as necessary, adhering to company standards and relevant regulations. Working with our administrators to administeraccurate and timely payroll. Maintenance and Organization Ensure that both Farm Bar and Arriba are clean and hygienic at all times. Develop organizational systems for equipment, food, supplies, etc., that minimize clutter and promote efficiency. Oversee maintenance (including preventative care) and repair of equipment and fixtures. Marketing and Social Media: Collaborate with ownership and Kinship to ideate, create, and implement effective strategies that positively impact the restaurant. Work with Kinship to maximize the restaurant’s exposure both locally and nationally. Promote and oversee private events. Operations and Systems Oversee and optimize the usage of the Toast POS, Slang.ai, Seated, Restaurant 365 and Opentable, GrubHub, Door Dash and other software systems to maximize positive impact on the restaurants. Ambience and Environment: Ensure staff are meeting and exceeding all Farm Bar and Arriba service standards Ensure that the music volume, lighting, and room temperature are appropriate at all times.
